Oven broken. Need to cook Easter brunch for 5 using stove or BBQ. HELP!!!?
I like the fully cooked ham on the BBQ idea but you do want some breakfast items, even it is just deviled eggs, which can be made the day before and refrigerated. In addition to the ham and deviled eggs, you might try a frittata, an italian style Omlette, which can be prepared several hours ahead of time. It is quite good served at room temperature and cut in pie type slices.. This is a link to a stove top frittata recipe. a href="http://www.webdiaries.net/recipes/stovetop_frittata.shtml" rel="nofollow"http://www.webdiaries.net/recipes/stovet…/a I have included it more for directions then ingredients. The choice of ingredients is yours, but do use cheese. Use one to two eggs person (depending on the amount of other sides). I usually add fontina and or parmigiana cheese, leftover cooked pasta and sausage to my egg mixture for the frittata. Sauteed peppers and onions, which can be prepared the day before, also go well in a frittata. Serve the ham and frittata with a large green salad and fried potatoes or a potato salad made with boiled potatoes which are then grilled, and mixed with some chopped onion, a little sugar, salt & pepper and oil and vinegar. Sorry about your stove and hope you have a Happy Easter.
