Sorry this is so long I am so frustrated.I open my home to my friend and her 2 children and 1 grandchild. Its been a nightmare for 2 months. Why is my guy friend acting weird?

Hiya, I've been friends with a guy for nearly 2 years.We joked around in lower school and teased eachother (the nice way). I suddenly began having feelings for him at the end of our last year. Ive been gaining weight latley my normal is around 120 over the last few weeks Iv been about 123/124 ish. Also Im 16 and I ate lik 4000 calories, and my weight was 127, and then the next day I ate almost nothing, and then the next day I ate normal amount of calories (but I only ate at night because I was busy in the morning so I had like a 1200 calorie meal). I have all kinds of mental health issues on my mom's side of the family, my uncle grew up very violent, later shot himself, and now he has other problems because of the brain damage from the bullet. My great uncle is schyzophrenic, and there's other stuff too in the family but I don't wanna list it all. My point is, your dad needs to see a psychiatrist for diagnosis, and get put on medication to help better balance him out. Medication is not a cure, but it makes a huge difference. My uncle who shot himself is now peaceful and tolerable, but if he skips his meds, he becomes dangerously violent.

You should just try it again. You might find if you start again that all the reasons you quit for cone back to you. There is no reason why you shouldnt start again besides the fact that it might be very hard to get back into it at the start. It's never to late to return to the sport and even people older than you return after years to do masters swimming. My advice would be to just go for it and try again. There's nothing stopping you besides the thoughts going through your head, and any coach worth training under would be happy to see someone giving the sport another shot.

I had brunch at a little cafe with my sister and her husband last week and my meal came with what they called grits. The grits I'm used to (I was born and raised in Alabama) are tiny little specks cooked in water or milk, but these grits were much larger grains. I was going to a swim meet and I went to her class during brunch to tell her that I wasn't going to her class. Can I become a doctor even though I have epilepsy?

Throughout my entire life, I have been working daily in order to become a pediatric neurologist so that I could help children overcome epilepsy as I was helped by a pediatric neurologist. Sadly though, I grew up with Partial-Focal Epilepsy. I only have seizures once every few years though so I consider myself extremely lucky. Will I be able to practice medicine though? I would really like to know before I apply for medical school. I understand that I will not be able to become a surgeon, but I really want and have a passion for neurology that is indescribable. What are the reasons why a restaurant wouldn't offer a big Mothers day brunch menu on Mothers Day?

Being someone who has worked in restaurants for a long time, it is difficult to deal with two different menus at one time. There's planning the menu, buying the ingredients, prepping the ingredients, teaching the staff what you what done, getting the waitstaff up to speed, keying those items into the computer, and then dealing with the leftovers. Plus, you have to find space the store all these items before, during, and after. And if you don't have extra people, it might not be so cost effective. Given the economy these days, many restaurants really have to keep an eye on the bottom line.

Gambling ruining a marriage?

So I live in Las Vegas and I know "someone" who is a grandmother, her grandchildren live in another state and she is a homemmaker. So basically, she doesnt have a life. She has, among other compulsions, a gambling addiction. Even when her husband was laid off of work and they were losing everything, she was hitting the casinos daily. Some people do it and only tell you when they won, but lose ALOT and never mention it. To me, that is a sign of addiction. As far as getting involved, I would def. take her to a meeting, theyre ackward at first, but if you find one you like, you'll honestly find a family in those groups (personal experience with NA). Anyways, I would also pull her husband aside and tell him, without alot of detail, that youre concerned and want to help her. Maybe you can stage an intervention together for her.

Family issues, I have a problem?

Last night I was asking my mom questions and I was bothering her...I shouldn't have done that but then her rude boyfriend who hates me started yelling at me, he knows that my dad can't afford to see me at the moment and he yells "WHY DON'T YOU GO LIVE WITH YOUR POOR DAD?" When i moved to the east with my family for my dads job we knew we'd be here only temporarily 3-4 yrs max. However I met my bf when i moved here and weve been together ever since. 3 yrs later and my familys moved back to my home town clear across the country. Throughout these past three yrs we would switch on and off which family we would spend holidays with or we would split the day between both familys. We Mostly spent holidays with my fam since he claims hes not close with his family or that they dont celebrate certain holidays Its been almost a yr since my family moved back home to the west coast, and I was lucky enough to convince my bf to fly us out west for christmas with my family. Before my family moved it worked out perfectly splitting christmas time between his fam and mine. As his fam celebrated christmas eve into early christmas morning 2-3 am and my family didnt celebrate untill christmas day with brunch and gifts. We were able to spend inividual days with each family. However now that my family has moved and we spent this last christmas week with my family my boyfreind insists that we spend this yr with his family. I havent said anything yet, but i completely disagree with this idea. I have 10 ppl in my family and im very close with my family, living across the country from them means i miss out on birthdays and births partys and holidays let alone family time. With living here on the east with my bf and his family who live less thn an hour from us and who he works for he sees them nearly everyday they have a small family compared to mine and their not at all as close with each other as i am to my family. Not to mention they dont always get together for celebrations.
